Let's take a quick tour of the iPod classic menu.
For this,

  1. Turn on your iPod classic.

Make sure, you are on the main menu. At the top, you will find the menu title. The main menu title is "iPod".
There are 8 options in the main menu by default - Music, Videos, Photos, Podcasts, Extras, Settings, Shuffle Songs and Now Playing.
The menu screen is divided into two columns.
The left part shows the menu options.
The right part shows the images and text information related to the currently highlighted menu option.

The iPod classic is a hard drive-based iPod (80 GB or 160 GB) featuring a large, widescreen color display, a Click Wheel, and the capability of displaying photos and videos.
