Play music on iPod Classic
To play music on your iPod classic:
- Plug the earphones jack into the iPod classic's Headphones port.
- The letters L and R - for your left and right ears respectively - are indicated clearly on the two earphones. Fit the earphones into your ears.
- From the main menu of iPod classic, select Music.
- In the Music menu, scroll to Songs - and select it.
The Songs screen opens and you will see the list of all songs or music, stored on your classic.
Scroll through the list, the songs are stored in alphabetical order.
- Now, scroll to a specific song you want to hear.
- Press the Play/Pause button.
The classic's Now Playing screen opens up - and the song starts playing.
The play icon appears at the top. The elapsed time and remaining time with a blue progress bar appears at the bottom.
Now, to change the volume;
- Move your finger around the Click Wheel.
The blue progress bar disappears and a volume bar appears.
- Before the volume bar disappears, use the Click Wheel to increase or decrease the volume.

The iPod classic is a hard drive-based iPod (80 GB or 160 GB) featuring a large, widescreen color display, a Click Wheel, and the capability of displaying photos and videos.
