Set Shuffle from Settings menu
You can set your iPod classic to always shuffle songs of albums or a playlist.
To do this;
- From the iPod classic main menu, select Settings.
- In the Settings screen scroll to Shuffle. By default, Shuffle is set to Off.
With each press of the Center button, you see an option.
3 options are offered - Songs, Albums and Off.
The Songs option shuffles songs within a playlist or an album.
In the Albums option, iPod classic plays all the songs on an album in order, and then randomly selects another album in the list and plays through it in order.

Apple iPod classic
The iPod classic is a hard drive-based iPod (80 GB or 160 GB) featuring a large, widescreen color display, a Click Wheel, and the capability of displaying photos and videos. Like other models, it uses USB for syncing. The iPod classic is available in silver and black, and has an anodized aluminum and polished stainless steel enclosure.
