Set shuffle off
You can turn off the shuffle play from the Now Playing screen of your iPod classic.
To do this:
- Make sure, you are on the Now Playing screen.
- The shuffle icon ensures that the songs are playing in shuffle mode.
Note the number string below the song and album name
This string indicates the playing order of the current track, out of the total number of tracks of that album or the corresponding songs list.
- Press the Center button 3 times until the shuffle navigator appears.
You can see, either Songs or Albums option is selected.
- Use the Click Wheel to select "Off ".
- Press the Center button.
The shuffle mode has been turned off, and its icon has disappeared from the Now Playing screen.

Apple iPod classic
The iPod classic is a hard drive-based iPod (80 GB or 160 GB) featuring a large, widescreen color display, a Click Wheel, and the capability of displaying photos and videos.
