BASIC CONTROLS OF iPOD NANO

To control your iPod nano

  • you use two basic finger operations on the circular panel on its front face.
  • press a button, and
  • move your thumb or index finger gently around the Click Wheel.
To turn on your iPod nano
  • Look at the top. Make sure the Hold switch is in "unlocked" mode. (No orange bar will be visible).
  • Now, press any button on your iPod nano to turn it on.
If the language-setting screen appears
  • Move your thumb lightly around the Click Wheel.
  • A highlighted blue bar scrolls over different language options.
  • Choose your language and press the Centre button.
  • The main menu of your iPod nano appears.

  • The Click Wheel is mainly for navigating through different menu options or items.
  • The highlighting bar on an item indicates that it can be selected as the current option.
  • Among the 5 buttons,
    • the Center button is for selecting an item.
    • The Menu button is for moving to the previous or main menu screen.
