IMPORTING AUDIO INTO iTUNES LIBRARY

You can import music from audio CDs into iTunes.
You can also add music - and other audio - already existing on your computer, to iTunes.
And in the iTunes Store, you can buy music and audiobooks - or subscribe to podcasts - and download these into your iTunes Library.
To import Audio CD tracks into your iPod Shuffle

  • Open iTunes.
  • Insert an audio CD into your computer.
  • If a message appears, asking whether you wish to import the CD, click No for now.
  • The CD title appears under Devices in the iTunes Source list.
  • Click on the title - the tracks will be displayed in the Contents window.
  • Deselect any song you don't want to import from the CD.
  • Now, click the Import CD button at the bottom right of the iTunes window.
  • The import starts - and the display area at the top of the iTunes window shows the time required to import each song.
  • An orange circular icon appears next to a track title while it is being imported.
  • This changes to a green check mark when the track is fully imported into the iTunes Library.
  • Once importing is over, all the tracks appear under Music in the iTunes Library.
  • Click the Eject button to retrieve your CD.
  • Double click on any track name and listen to the track
  • To stop playing, click on the iTunes Player's Play / Pause button or simply press the spacebar....
