USING iPod SHUFFLE AS AN EXTERNAL DISK

You can store and manage data files on iPod shuffle just as you would on your computer disk drives. For this, you need to enable your Shuffle as an external disk.
Remember, you must eject your iPod Shuffle before disconnecting it from the computer after disk usage.

Copy data files from your computer to the Shuffle

To copy data files from your computer to the iPod Shuffle:
  • Make sure your iPod shuffle is connected to your computer, and iTunes is open.
  • Select iPod shuffle in the Source List.
  • Click the Settings tab.
  • Go to the Options section and select "Enable disk use."
  • You may need to scroll down to see the disk settings.
  • Adjust the slider – and set how much space should be reserved for songs versus data.
  • Click Apply.
  • If you are a Mac user, you will find the iPod shuffle disk icon appearing on the desktop.
    1. Open the Finder.
    2. Select the files you want to transfer.
    3. Drag the files to your iPod shuffle icon.v
  • If you are a Windows PC user, click on My Computer.
    1. You will find the iPod shuffle disk icon appearing as the next available drive letter.
    2. Open Windows Explorer.
    3. Select the files you want to transfer.
    4. Drag the files to your iPod shuffle icon.
  • Watch the status light on your iPod Shuffle. It’s blinking amber continuously. Now click the iPod Shuffle icon. The data files have been loaded onto your shuffle....
