You can listen to synced music, audiobooks or podcasts on your iPod Shuffle.
Plug the earphone jack into the device and place the buds on your ears.
Slide the three-way switch from OFF to the middle or extreme right position.
The status light blinks green once.
If play does not start, click center button.
To pause play, click the center button again.
The status light blinks green for 30 seconds.
To resume, click center button.

Apple iPod Shuffle 3rd Gen



iPod shuffle (3rd generation) includes a single 3-position switch that toggles between off, play in order, and shuffle similar to the original iPod shuffle. It also includes a headphone port that also is used to for connecting to a computer's USB port as well as a clip similar to the iPod shuffle (2nd generation). iPod shuffle (3rd generation) is smaller that either of the previous two models and has one status light compared with two on previous generations of iPod shuffle.
