Check mail

For these operations we are using iPhone visuals since the iPod Touch and iPhone work exactly the same way.Once email accounts are set up, check and read your emails.

  1. First check which email accounts are active - since your Mail application only checks these.
    • Tap Settings on the Home screen.
    • On the Settings screen, scroll to Mail, Contacts, Calendars and tap it.
    • The Mail, Contacts, Calendars screen opens
    • Under Accounts, check the accounts that have been set up on your iPhone.
    • In this demo, 3 accounts have been set up - office_mail, personal_mail and Dev's Gmail.
    • Beneath each of the accounts, the word Mail appears - indicating these accounts are active.
  1. To check the email messages received in these accounts, first check the Mail icon at the bottom of the Home screen.
          • In this demo, the number 42 appears at the top right of the icon.
          • This shows the total number of new email messages received in your iPhone's active accounts.
          1. To view these accounts - and the messages received in them - first tap Mail.
You are taken to the last screen used in the Mail application. In this demo, this is the Inbox screen.Next, keep tapping the back arrow button, at the top left, until you reach the Accounts screen.
