App Store - Find and Install iPod Touch Applications
For these operations we are using iPhone visuals since the iPod Touch and iPhone work exactly the same way.You can use App Store, on your iPhone, to find and download applications directly from iTunes Store.
- Tap App Store on the Home screen.
- In the next screen, note the first 4 icons at the bottom - Featured, Categories, Top 25 and Search.
- Each helps you find applications in different ways.
- The last used screen is currently displayed.
- In our demo, this is the Categories screen.
- This lists various categories of applications.
- Tap Featured.
- The next screen shows applications being featured in the iTunes Store.
- This has 2 view options - New and What's Hot.
- Tapping Top 25 takes you to a list of the Top 25 iPhone applications.
- Top Paid lists applications for which you pay a license fee.
- Top Free lists free applications.
- Tap Search.
- A search bar appears on the next screen.
- A letters keyboard comes up.
- Various results get listed.
- Several applications get listed.
- For a fresh search, you can tap the search bar again.
- In all views, finding a listed application involves the same steps.
