Retrieving email
For these operations we are using iPhone visuals since the iPod Touch and iPhone work exactly the same way.
- Your iPhone 3G retrieves email in broadly 2 ways.
- by using Push to get email from the server, or
- by fetching email from the server.
- Push email accounts are always synced with the email server.
- On the Home screen, tap Settings.
- Tap and turn the Push switch ON.
- Now, if a Push email account - like Yahoo - is configured on your iPhone, your iPhone will receive messages as they arrive on the server.
- Your iPhone 3G can also fetch email from the server.
- To fetch email from your server manually, you can tap and choose Manually.
