Saving a copy of a song in a new file format


  1. By default, a song in your iTunes library is saved in a specific format.
You can convert and save a copy of this in a different format while retaining the original.
  1. To convert a song's file format, click Edit on the iTunes menu and select Preferences.
Click the General tab.Click the Import Settings tab.Select your encoding format from the 'Import Using' drop-down menu.Click OK.Click OK again to exit the Preferences dialog box.
