PREPARATORY.Launch Combustion.
Step1. Create a new workspace.
1.1. From the menu choose "File", "New".
1.2. In the panel, name the project, say "Chromakey".
1.3. For footage template choose HDTV 1080 24P.
1.4. Set the duration to 3 seconds 3 frames.
1.5. Click Okay.
Step2. Import the green screen media.
2.1. In the workspace, click on the composition branch "Composite, chroma key".
2.2. Right click on it and in the pop-up choose "Import Footage".
2.3. The Import Footage panel comes up.
2.4. Navigate to the media folder containing the image sequence.
2.5. Click on the thumbnail to choose the image sequence.
2.6. Click on the thumbnail which now appears below in the "source" panel.
2.7. Click on "Source Options".
2.8. The source options panel opens.
2.9. Change the frame rate to 24.
2.10. Click "OK" to close this panel.
2.11. Click "OK" to import the footage.Press "Equal to", on the keyboard, to fit the image in the viewport.
Step3. Now import the background image.
3.1. In the Workspace, select and right click the branch "Composite, chroma key".
3.2. In the pop-up choose "Import Footage".
3.4. The Import Footage panel comes up.
3.5. Navigate to the media folder containing the background image.
3.6. Click on the thumbnail to select it.
3.7. Click on the thumbnail which now appears below.
3.8. Click on "Source Options".
3.9. The source options panel opens.
3.10. Change the duration to 80 frames.
3.11. The frame rate should be 24 fps.
3.12. Click "OK" to close this panel.
3.13. Click "OK" to import the footage.
Step4. In the workspace area, drag the background image branch down below the green screen footage branch.
Step5. Click the timeline Tab.
5.1. Check the timeline to ensure that the two footage clips line up,
Step6. Apply a key operator.
6.1. Right click the green screen branch in the workspace.
