SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR DV
Launch After Effects.
Step1. Import the DV footage.
Step2. Drag the green screen footage to the composition, where it snaps to the centre.
Step3. Make a new layer as a temporary background.
3.1. From the menu choose "Layer", "New Solid".
3.2. Make it a color complementary to green, such as magenta.
3.3. Click "Make Comp Size".
3.4. Click Okay.
Step4. In the timeline, drag this layer down below the green screen footage layer, to send this behind.
Step5. Click and activate the green screen layer in the timeline.
Step6. From the Menu choose "Effect", "Keying", "Keylight 1.2".
6.1. Use the color picker to sample the green area of the screen. Chroma keying DV footage often produces unclean edges. The blockiness is a result of chroma sub-sampling as well as noise and artifacts in DV footage.
