Scanning A Document Using HP Scanning Utility


Ensure that the printer is turned on and connected to the computer.
Step 1. Open the scanner cover.
Step 2. Place the document to be scanned face down on the scanner bed, its edges touching the bottom right hand corner of the scanning bed.
Step 3. Flip down the scanner lid.
Step 4. Double click the HP Deskjet 4515 series Icon.
Step 5. In the Panel that opens, click "Scan a Document or Photo".
The left hand area of the panel provides convenient presets.
Step 6. Choose "Photo to file".
Step 7. In the right hand side panel, Choose a size for the scan area. In this demo we choose "Entire scan area" from the drop-down options.
Step 8. Change the resolution. We set it to 100 dpi.
Step 9. Click Advanced Settings....
