  1. To control audio playback with the headset microphone button, first tap iPod in the Home screen.
    • The last screen you visited in the iPod application opens.
    • If this is not the Songs screen, tap Songs at the bottom of the screen.
    • The Songs screen opens.
      • Scroll to a song - say, Highway Blues - and tap it.
        • Now, insert the pin end of the headset into your iPhone's headset jack.
          • Next, fit the 2 headphones into your left and right ears.
          • You can now hear the song clearly through the headphones.
            • Now, press the microphone button once.
              • The music pauses.
              • You no longer hear anything through the earphones.
              • Press the microphone button again.
