Cut, Copy and Paste Text


Once you select text, you can cut or copy it.Then, you can paste it - either in the same application or different application.

  1. Open, say, a note in your Notes application.
    • Select a portion of the text.
    3 options - Cut, Copy and Paste - appear above the selection.Tap Copy.The options disappear.
    • Now, tap and bring the cursor down.
    Tap the insertion point.Then, tap Paste from the options above.The copied text gets pasted at the new point in the note.
    • Select another portion of the note.
    This time, tap Cut.The selected text disappears.
    • Next, as earlier, tap and bring the cursor to the point where you wish to paste the text.
    Tap the insertion point.Then, tap Paste from the options above.The text you cut gets pasted at the new point in the note.
