Find Locations - through Manual Typing


You can find a location, by manually typing its details in the search bar.

  1. First tap Maps on the Home screen.
The last viewed map screen opens.
  1. Tap the search bar to bring up the keyboard.
Now, manually type an area name, address, landmark or zip code.
    1. In this demo, we first type an area name - say, Washington DC - and tap Search on the keyboard.
      • A map of the area opens, and a red push pin drops and identifies it.
      • Next, tap the search bar again - and tap Clear at the top, to clear the search bar's contents.
    Alternatively, you can tap the "x" icon, at the far end, to clear the search bar's contents.
      1. This time, type a specific address - say, 221B Baker Street, London - and tap Search.
        • A map opens - with a detailed street map.
        • The red push pin drops onto the address.
        • Tap the search bar - and tap the "x" icon, at the far end, to clear the search bar's contents.
