Plan a Journey - Preview Route


You can preview a route - either in a list or on the map.

  1. To see a detailed listing of a route, first choose the travel mode.
In our demo, we first tap the walk icon.
  1. Then, tap the icon at the bottom right.
The map screen flips around.
  1. Tap List.
A Directions screen opens.
    • A Route Overview gives the overall distance and estimated time of the walk.
    • A green push pin identifies the route's start point.
    • A red push pin marks the route's end point.
    • Each intermediate point in the trip is numerically listed - with an estimated distance to the next point.
    1. You can now tap a specific leg of the route, and see its map.
    • In our demo, we tap item number 3.
    A map screen opens.You see the 3rd leg of the trip.
    • Since the entire trip has 13 legs, you see the numbers 3 of 13 at the top.
    Just below, you see a description of the location.
    • To move to the next leg, tap the right arrow button at the top.
    You see
    • the 4th leg of the trip,
    • the numbers 4 of 13 at the top, and
    • the description of the location.
    • Use the left arrow and right arrow buttons to move through the entire route.
    The last screen is titled End.
    • To return to the list view, tap the icon at the bottom right.
