  1. Spotlight searches content across your iPhone.
For instance,
  • In the Contacts application, spotlight searches first, last, and company names
  • In Mail, Spotlight searches To, From, and Subject fields of all accounts.
The text of messages isn't searched.
  • In Calendar, Spotlight searches event titles, invitees, and locations.
  • In iPod, Spotlight searches songs, artists, albums and the titles of podcasts, videos and audiobooks
  • In Notes, Spotlight searches the text of notes.
  1. Flick left to right on the Home screen's main page.
