You can select text on your iPhone.For this, your iPhone's operating system must be 3.0 or later.

  1. First, open a text screen.
Tap, say, Notes on the Home screen, and open a note.
  1. Next, tap on the screen.
The cursor starts blinking at that insertion point.Tap the insertion point to display the Select and Select All buttons.
  1. To select a word adjacent to the insertion point, tap Select.
