Set Ringtones


  1. When you receive a call, you hear a ringtone.
Your iPhone has many such ringtones in its collection.
  1. To set a default ringtone,
    1. First tap Settings in the Home screen.
In the Settings screen, tap Sounds. Then tap Ringtone in the Sounds screen. The Ringtone screen opens.
    1. The screen offers many ringtones.
      1. Tap any ringtone, say Marimba, and hear how it sounds.
      The Marimba ringtone gets checked. A sample of its ringtone is heard. Tap Blues. Blues now gets checked, and its ringtone is heard.
        1. Finalize a ringtone - say Blues - and tap Sounds at the top left to return to the
        Sounds screen. Against Ringtone, the selected ringtone Blues appears.
          1. Blues now becomes the default ringtone on your iPhone.
          Blues will now sound during an incoming call.
          1. But remember, each contact can be assigned a distinctive ringtone.
