MOVING USER FOLDERS FROM DEFAULT LOCATIONS


The location of user folders is by default on your system drive, where windows is installed.If there is any reason to format this partition, or reinstall windows on to this partition, there is always the possibility that your documents may get wiped out.For these and other reasons, moving the location of your user folder to another location or partition, is a good idea.To do this, first create a new folder on another partition.1. Click the Start Orb.2. Navigate to Computer and open it.3. Open the D: Drive in the explorer.4. Right Click and say New Folder.5. Rename this to Say, Peter, the name of the current user.6. Next, click the Start Orb again. The start menu opens. 7. In the integrated search box type c: users The search results appear on top, and the words Public and Peter appear....
