OPEN COMMAND PROMPT IN ANY FOLDER


By default, Windows opens the command prompt in the User's directory.However, it may often become necessary to open the Command Prompt in any other folder. 1. Click on the Start Orb. The Start menu opens.2. Click on All Programs.3. Move up and click on the Accessories tab. 4. Under the list of available items, click on Command Prompt. The Command Prompt opens in the user directory, that is C: users Peter. We would like to provide an option to open the command prompt in any folder we choose. 5. First close the command prompt. 6. Hit the Windows plus R key combination on the keyboard to bring up the Run application panel.7. Type in regedit and hit enter.The registry editor opens.On the left hand side of the panel select H key classes root which is the topmost entry.8. Click on the triangle on the left hand side to expand it. A long list of possible keys opens under it.9. Scroll down till you come across the entry: folder.10. Again...
